This page explains what data hbtroc.ch processes and why, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Data controller: Rafael Seoane (HB9HPG), 1008 Prilly, Switzerland, reachable via the Contact page.

What is public

Your username, your callsign if you give it, your canton, the date you signed up, your listings, the reviews you have received, and your bids in masked form (for example “H***C”).

What stays private

Your name, email, phone number and address are never published. They are only shared with the person you make a deal with, so that you can make arrangements. Your password is stored in an irreversible encrypted form.

Photos

The photos you upload are recompressed and their metadata (including GPS location) is removed.

Cookies

The site uses cookies needed for it to work (your login session, protection against fraudulent form submissions, your language choice). If you accept in the banner, it also uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) to measure visits: pages viewed, device, approximate country. Some data may then be sent to Google, including outside Switzerland. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of the page. No advertising cookies.

Hosting

The site and its database are hosted in Switzerland, by Infomaniak. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.

Automatic translation

When a member asks for a description to be translated, that text (and only that text, without your name or contact details) is sent to the automatic translation service MyMemory (Translated, Italy) or DeepL (Germany). The translation is stored on our server.

Retention period

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. You can delete it at any time from your profile: your listings, messages and bids are then erased. Technical logs are kept for 90 days at most.

You can ask to view, correct or delete your data by writing to us via the Contact page.
